WEBN-TV was named AP News Station of the Year 6 of the last 8 years. Each year the staff has won AP Awards. In 2009 it won awards for News Station of the Year, Continuing Coverage for the 2008 Iowa Caucuses Special, Feature Reporting for Oscars 2008, Sports Program for Spring Training 2008, Best Weather Presentation, Breaking News Videography for DNC Riots, and Best Website for politicalpulse.net.
