Hot Helen in Washington

If you go to Washington state, you may start asking yourself… is it getting hot in here or is it just me. That’s because a new study suggests there’s a vast pool of magma beneath southwestern Washington state. The magma pool is said to feed Mount St. Helens, Mount Rainier, and Mount Adams. The study was published in the scientific journal, Nature Geoscience. It hints that the setup could be like the mythic super volcano and even the underground magma pool as farfetched and highly unlikely. Critics say that the so-called magma pool may in fact be just a pool of water.
