McDonald’s Enemy #1: Chicken Feces

Don’t have a cow… that is, until they stop feeding on feces. A coalition of consumer groups have urged the FDA to stop feeding poultry litter to cattle. If the FDA doesn’t comply, members of the coalition plan to file a lawsuit. Among those in favor of the ban is McDonald’s Corp., the nation’s top restaurant beef user. The poultry litter is composed of feces, spilled chicken feed, and mammal tissue remains. By consuming this, cattle who eat this have a greater chance of contracting mad cow disease. So it might be best to second guess that burger.
