It seems the recession is green-proof. Despite these tough economic times, green products are still in demand. Many of them will be at the annual Green Marketing Conference which will take place in Chicago this year. However, according to a new study, Chicago has ironically been named one of the most toxic cities in America. Chicago is one of many big cities suffering from a range of unseen hazards. This includes chemical spills contaminating grounds to toxins released by factories entering water supplies. Cleaning these cities will not be easy or cheap. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates a total cost of $10.5 billion in federal money is necessary to improve the country’s environmental health.
