The California redwoods may be under threat. A decline in fog could harm the Golden State’s famed giants. Scientists worry the trees may not survive with the evaporating fog. A study reveals the beneficial fog has steadily decreased over 100 years. A team of scientists at U.C. Berkeley recently found signs of drought stress. But the team says the effects of the fog are still uncertain.
