Winter Olympic Venues Have Gone Green

In Vancouver, Olympians aren’t just going for the gold. They’re going for the green. That is…at least inside the environmentally-friendly Richmond Olympic Oval. The facility was built with salvaged wood that was once infested with pine beetles. The immense ceiling arches sweep across the center like heron wings. Olympians say this facility is the most beautiful and inspiring building they have ever competed in.
