The National Children’s study is conducting major research on children’s health.
The study is planning to recruit as many as 250 babies a year. Researchers aim to enroll 100,000 pregnant women from over 105 countries.
The mothers and babies will be monitored until the child turns 21, and the study will examine how the environment, genetics, and other factors affect a child’s health. In total, it’s projected cost is about 6.7 billion dollars.
