President Obama Visits Boston On The Campaign Trail

Democrats have been worrying about an enthusiasm gap. But President Barack Obama wants to change that. Mr. Obama came to town Saturday to rally for Governor Deval Patrick and to get the Bay State “fired up and ready to go.”
The Get Out the Vote: Moving Massachusetts Forward Rally featured many big name speakers. Mayor Tom Menino, Senator John Kerry, and Vicki Kennedy spoke to the crowd about the importance of the election and what it means for Massachusetts Democrats. But people came out in the thousands to hear from the president and the governor.
President Obama is an oldtime friend and political ally of Governor Patrick. He told the crowd that returning to the Republican policies of the past would be a mistake. Mr. Obama also explained what Governor Patrick has done while in office and what plans he has for the future. The President touched on topics such as unemployment, the economy, and education. He urged Democrats to show their support at the polls on November 2nd.
