Staten Island Has Gone Hollywood

The field trip of a lifetime has begun. Staten Island has made it to Hollywood. On Sunday, the PS22 Chorus will be performing at the Oscars but the chorus members’ first stop in Los Angeles will not be the red carpet. That’s because the Academy is taking them to Disneyland.
But it will not be all fun and games for these fifth graders and their teacher Gregg Breinberg. They will be practicing for their big debut at the Kodak Theater.
Breinberg said that not only will the students walk the red carpet but they will also sing on it. “They are getting the full VIP treatment, they are staying where all the Academy Award nominees are staying,” said Mr. B.
In the future, these students may not be up for an Oscar, but you’ll never know who will get a Grammy.
