Animal Kingdom could take the Triple Crown. Racing experts claim the colt may have the chance of winning big and being the next 3-year-old to win it all. After his empathic win this past Saturday, racing fanatics and the colt’s owners, Team Valor, believe the fact the Derby was Animal Kingdom’s fifth race will be to his advantage in the upcoming races. Tomorrow, Animal Kingdom will be taken to a training center in Maryland to start preparing for the Preakness. Affirmed was the last 3-year-old to take the Triple Crown in 1978.
