James Neal Is Staying Put In Pittsburgh
By Cody Marcroft — 02/20/12
James Neal is having himself quite a year on and off the ice.
The Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward has agreed to a six-year contract extension worth $30 million. Last season the Penguins acquired Neal from the Dallas Stars for defenseman Alex Goligoski.
Neal has been a major contributor for the Penguins. This season he has tallied a career-high 30 goals, which is good enough for second most on the team. Neal has also reached career highs in points and power play goals.
