Chan Quits Acting For Politics

Jackie Chan is stepping away from Hollywood to pursue a political career.
He has joined the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference’s advisory group. This makes the 58-year-old a delegate for four years.
The group is a national-level political advisory board. Several other well-known figures will be joining the board. But this decision has created some debate on whether celebrities commit enough to make a contribution.
However Chan has already shown his commitment runs deeply for politics. After wrapping his most recent film “Chinese Zodiac,” he officially announced his retirement from acting.
