The California hunt for Christopher Dorner may be over.
One sheriff’s deputy is dead after an exchange in gunfire with a man officials believe to be the former Los Angeles police officer.
Dorner is suspected in three murders across Southern California.
Authorities believe he is held up inside a cabin in Big Bear, California, where flames erupted after hours of a standoff with police.
One gun shot was heard immediately after the cabin went up in smoke.
Cindy Bachman is a representative for the Sheriff’s Department. She says the identity of the man inside the cabin cannot be confirmed. However, multiple witnesses told officials the man inside the cabin matched descriptions of Dorner.
