At this hour the city of Boston and surrounding towns are on lockdown.

Police are searching for the last suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing,19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Authorities had shot and killed his 26 year-old brother Tamerlan during a shoot-out in a Watertown, MA neighborhood.

Late last night a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer was shot and killed in his car.  It is believed that the Tsarnaev brothers may have ambushed and killed the officer who had been responding to a disturbance on or near campus.

The brothers reportedly hijacked a car at gunpoint nearby but released the driver unharmed at a Cambridge gas station on Memorial Drive.

Police allegedly chased the suspects in the stolen car into Watertown where the two men reportedly threw explosives out the window and exchanged gunfire with officers.

The first suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot and killed by officers after police cornered the car in the Laurel-Dexter Street area.  But Dzhokhar escaped.

Watertown, Boston, Newton, Belmont, and Waltham have all been shut down. Residents are being warned to stay inside and lock their doors and windows.  Businesses in the impacted zones have been asked to close.
