Tonight Boston’s Fashion Week went inside a busy shopping mall and the students will become the masters. Massachusetts College Of Art and Design students showcased their latest designs at Copley Place. And shoppers stopped in the lobby to watch the show.

The designers looked proudly at the models wearing their clothes that ranged from swimwear to black tie. 18-year old Melissa Stokes told WEBN that her favorite part of the show was “the men’s formal wear, they looked very nice in their suits.”

Another guest Max Rogers complimented the show by saying “I’m really glad students are being given an opportunity to showcase their work this early in their work this early in their careers. There’s a lot of variety at the show and it’s really nice to see that.”

Rogers continued by saying that “I really liked it wasn’t all high fashion so much that’s just out there. It was just low key casual stuff that I could really see myself wearing.”

The fashion show drew to a close as guests gave the students a standing ovation, cheering so loudly for the entire mall to hear. Attendees had one last complimentary drink before grabbing their gift bags and disappearing into the crowd of Copley Place. Designers stayed behind to snap a few pictures before they also joined the throng. To onlookers, they just looked like regular college students but little do they know that maybe one day, some of those students will use the catwalk as a launching pad for their fashion lines.
