It looks like Jerry York is sticking around at Boston College.

York is the winningest coach in college hockey history.  And now he has signed a six-year contract extension with the Boston College Eagles through 2020.

The 68-year-old has been behind the Eagles bench for 20 seasons, and his resume is loaded with awards. The list includes four national titles.  The most recent was in 2012.  There were 10 Frozen Four berths, and nine Hockey East championships.

At of the end of last season, York has 939 career wins, including 472 wins as head coach at BC.

If York fulfills the length of his contract, he will become the longest tenured coach in Boston College history, and will certainly pass the 501-win mark set by John “Snookes” Kelley.
