It’s a clash of different styles.

Tonight the New England Patriots will face its toughest opponent to date as the team travels south to take on the Carolina Panthers.

Both teams are as hot as ever. Carolina comes into the matchup winning five in a row, including a 10-9 win in San Francisco last week. The Patriots are coming off of a bye week, but scored a season high 55 points in the team’s last game against Pittsburgh.

The Patriots will have a hard time repeating that offensive explosion against Carolina. During the Panthers’ five-game win streak, Carolina has only allowed 57 total points.

New England’s potent offense isn’t what fans have gotten accustomed to in recent years. The Patriots have the 9th ranked rushing attack in the league and the 18th ranked passing attack. The running game could be a key point in tonight’s game since Carolina ranks 3rd in the NFL in opponents rushing yards per game.

But this is Monday Night Football. The Patriots have been here…specifically Tom Brady, who is 13-4 all-time in the Monday night spotlight. Big games are just another day at the office for Mr. Brady.

For Cam Newton and the Panthers, tonight’s game is the biggest game of the year. It is a chance for the Panthers to prove themselves as legitimate contenders on national television.

The Patriots and the Panthers will look to continue their winning streaks tonight. The game gets underway at 8:30 pm EST.
