A few minutes remained in the third quarter as the Patriots trailed 21-17. Case Keenum scrambled 5-yards for a Houston touchdown.
A nine-play drive in the fourth was capped off by a seven-yard touchdown run by LeGarrette Blount. This gave New England a 28-24 lead. Just minutes were left in the game as Brady led the Pats down field and set up a 53-yard field goal brought in by Stephen Gostkowski. That gave the Pats a 34-31 lead.
The win improves New England’s record to 9-3. They are candidates for one of the two top seeds in the AFC in the last four weeks of the season. The loss drops the Texans’ record to 2-10.
