“Orange Is the New Black” fans can prepare to binge-watch. The premiere of the sophomore season of Netflix’s hit dramatic comedy is set forFriday, June 6. Netflix released a teaser trailer with the well-anticipated release date after the final season 2 episode of “House of Cards,” another Netflix original series.

Similar to the first season, all thirteen episodes of the new season will be available to stream all at once. The seventeen second trailer didn’t leak any plot points. However, it did show almost all of the popular characters including Piper Chapman, John Bennett, Galina “Red” Reznikov, and Sophia Burset.

The addicting dramedy is based off the novel written by Piper Kerman with the same title. The first season shows Piper Chapman leave her normal life to serve fifteen months in jail for a crime she committed a decade ago. “Orange Is the New Black” takes place in a women’s federal prison and is both a comical and eye-opening take on the mistreatment of incarcerated inmates today.
