It’s been a crazy first four days of free agency for the Patriots. The Patriots were quiet on day one, but not after that. The team signed one for the biggest free agents in recent memory, cornerback Darrelle Revis, who was cut by the Buccaneers for cap reasons. He is regarded by many to be one of the best, if not the best, cornerbacks in the entire NFL. New England signed him to a one-year $ 12 million deal with a team option of $20 million for next season. The Patriots are hoping to sign him to a long-term deal reports say.

On Friday, the Patriots continued to strengthen the secondary,by signing former Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner to a three-year $17 million dollar deal. He has a troubled past and has a four game suspension to start this year, but the 6’ 4” defensive back will bring a long lost physical presence to the Pats secondary.

The Patriots locked up their top receiver from last year, Julian Edelman. The contract numbers are unknown at this time, but the Pats will retain Tom Brady’s favorite target and locker buddy for the next few seasons.
