A pre-Boston Fashion Week kickoff got local fashionistas ready for a week of runways and new arrivals.
Haute House Design Studio owner and founder Taneshia Camillo-Sheffey said she was excited to introduce several new lines by Haute House designers at the Harborside Inn Lounge on State Street last Thursday.
“Working with Boston Fashion Week is a great experience,” said Camillo-Sheffey. “Everyone gets excited to see new trends and bond over designers’ art.”
The trunk show presented a table full of new jewelry for all occasions, headwear, scarves for the season, and several jackets for Autumn. The models wore the latest collections from local designers, and received applause from the entire lounge.
Haute House Design Studio is up and coming in the fashion industry and stays fresh by showcasing local and international designers, according to Haute House volunteer Elizabeth Fernandes.
“I started working with Taneshia awhile back and it has been more fun than I could have imagined,” said Fernandes. “The company just keeps getting bigger and bigger.”
The collections showcased at the trunk show included eveningwear, business wear and formal.
“We keep up with the big cutting-edge designers and make our own look,” said Camillo-Sheffey. “It’s always something new and exciting.”
Camillo-Sheffey and Fernandes plan to attend as many Boston Fashion Week events as possible, and meet new designers.
