Shooting at FSU Leaves Three Wounded

Florida State and Talahasse police responded to reports a gunman was shooting in the school’s library. Myron Deshawn May was shot and killed by police when he refused to drop his weapon.

May was a 2005 FSU graduate who is believed to have acted alone. He graduated from Texas Tech University’s law school in 2009 and moved back to Florida a few weeks ago. In a detailed journal and videos, May believed the government was targeting him for persecution, authorities said.

The school canceled classes and exams Thursday to offer counseling to students. Investigators are still surveying the scene and trying to determine exactly what happened and for what reason.
