Tom Brady defeats the NFL in ‘Deflategate’ Case

BRADYBy Harris Rubenstein 9/3/2015

“DeflateGate’ is finally over as U.S. District Judge Berman has vacated Tom Brady’s 4 game suspension, which will allow the Patriots All-Pro QB to suit up for week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brady and the NFLPA had brought the NFL to court after they had suspended Brady for allegedly telling two members of the equipment staff to take air out of footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The NFL opened up an investigation that lead to Brady’s suspension, which was upheld by Commissioner Roger Goodell.
The judge’s overruling came Thursday morning after over a month of failed settlement talks between Goodell and the NFL and its player’s union.

During the court proceedings, the judge consistently criticized the NFL’s treatment of this case, which was duly noted in his 40+ page report.

The NFL has since announced that they will appeal Judge Berman’s  ruling to vacate Tom Brady’s suspension.
