Kelly Clarkson Announces New Entertainment Endeavor

Kelly Clarkson’s daughter River Rose is already releasing a memoir… well, sort of.

The American Idol winner announced on Twitter Tuesday that she is releasing a children’s book.

“I’m officially a children’s book author! River Rose and the Magical Lullaby comes out this October! #NewProject,” she tweeted.

Clarkson wanted her daughter to remember the trips she is taking now and began to write stories about their adventures traveling around the world.

“The little stories ended up turning into a book for each place we kind of went,” she explains in a video attached to her Tweet. “I guess my hope is for little kids to read River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and be inspired by it and know they can achieve anything and still dream big and make big things happen.”

The 33-year-old singer has been promoting the new book by dropping video hints on Twitter last week. Each video includes a hilarious snippet of River Rose.

The most adorable video though was the official announcement of the book. After what looks like a formal interview, the video goes behind the scenes and features the new author dishing the dirty details of how hard it is working with her one-year-old daughter River Rose.

“Okay, ya’ll she is out of hand,” she explains. “I am pulling this train all by myself.” Cue the adorable footage of River Rose all around the office. “She’s sleeping on the job. She’s hungry all the time. I mean you try and talk to her about something and she slams the door in your face.” Yes, they even have footage of the toddler in the act.

“River Rose and the Magical Lullaby” will go on sale this October.
