ISIS claims to have been behind the attacks in Brussels on Tuesday. The attacks that killed at least 30 and wounded 230 more happened during the rush hour of an airport and metro station in Brussels.
Belgium police have already released a picture of the suspect and are asking the public if they recognize him. Authorities have been trying for months to tighten security against terror threats, and this attack comes just days after the arrest of Salah Abdeslam, a suspect in the Paris Terror attacks.
According to a Belgium representative’s report to CNN, 20 people were killed and 130 people were wounded at the Maelbeek metro station and 10 people were killed and 100 people were wounded at the Brussels’s international airport.
After the attacks, RBF, Belgian state’s broadcaster, reported that authorities conducted midday raids searching for people linked to the attacks. Investigators found items such as a nail bomb, chemical products, and an ISIS flag during a house search.
