Playstation has released a pre-beta gameplay trailer of its upcoming Major League Baseball game “MLB The Show 17.” While most gamers will marvel at the improvements, Red Sox fans will note the inclusion of the victory dance known in Boston as, “win-dance-repeat.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KngKVAqsE1A)

As the Red Sox were turning the page from the Big Papi era, younger stars emerged and gave the team a jolt of personality in the process. As their chemistry grew, most notably in the outfield, so did the winning. Outfielders Jackie Bradley, Jr., Mookie Betts, Chris Young, and after a call-up, Andrew Benintendi, all led the charge in giving victories some flare. They deemed it, “win-dance-repeat,” and immediately, a movement was born.

“It’s been really fun,” said Benintendi during a postgame interview on NESN. “It was funny to watch them,” referring to the victory dances in the Red Sox outfield prior to his call-up. “But after a while, I just really wanted to go out there and have fun with these guys.”

He did indeed got to do that, under the tutelage of his teammate Bradley, who led the way with original variations of his own, including, “The Carlton Dance” and “The Ski Jump.”

“MLB The Show 17” will feature Seattle Mariners legend Ken Griffey, Jr. on the cover. The game is scheduled for a March 28, 2017 release.
