New England Storm Damage Causes Halloween to be Postponed

Many cities in Massachusetts are cleaning up debris and restoring electricity following the storm Monday night. The weather system brought torrential rain and strong winds, taking down trees and power lines all over.
Andover is one of the several communities affected by this storm. Officials say 33 high-tension power lines throughout the Merrimack Valley were knocked down. Crews are working to recover from the extensive damage. They estimate that it could take up to 72 hours to restore power.
This has caused Halloween to be postponed in Andor, along with Billerica, Boxford, Chelmsford, Tyngsborough, Dracut, Westford, Salisbury, Lowell and Pelham, New Hampshire, Billerica, Chelmsford, Lowell, Westford and Dracut. They will instead have trick-or-treating on Friday. Tyngsborough has pushed the holiday back to Sunday. The makeup date for Salisbury has yet to be determined.
