Charlie Baker will not attend Mike Pence’s Boston Fundraisers

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said he would not meet with Vice President Mike Pence, who was visiting Boston on Tuesday for Republican fundraisers.

The governor said he did not even know Pence was coming to Boston and told reporters on Monday that he already had plans to be in New Bedford. Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito said she wasn’t asked to attend but will also not be attending the fundraisers and would be performing other duties.

Politico reported that Pence’s office stated they sent invitations to Baker’s office.

The RNC Boston fundraiser Pence is attending in Boston is expected to generate $500,000.
