WORLD CHAMPIONS! The Boston Red Sox beat the Dodgers 5-1 in Game Five of the World Series to win their fourth World Series since 2004.

Steve Pearce was named World Series MVP following 3 homers and 8 RBI in the series. The story of the night for the Sox was the performance of David Price. Price, who was pitching on short rest, gave the Red Sox seven innings of one-run baseball. Price was brilliant in the World Series and was choked up after the game when talking about what winning the World Series meant to him.

The Red Sox got off to a fast start in this one thanks to a Pearce two-run homer off of Clayton Kershaw in the top of the first. The Dodgers would get one back on a David Freese homer in the home half of the inning, but Price would shut the Dodgers down the rest of the way. The Sox would add on thanks to solo home runs by Mookie Betts, J.D Martinez, and another by Pearce. Chris Sale came in and shut the door making the Red Sox World Champions.

The Red Sox World Championship parade is apparently set for Wednesday at 11 a.m. The rolling rally will begin at Fenway Park and continue down Boylston Street. The City of Boston will have a chance to celebrate a team that many regard as the greatest Red Sox team ever.
