AP Puts Boston College Football Back in the Top 25
By Tristan Deschenes 10/30/2018
For the second time this year, the Boston College Eagles are back in the top 25 rankings in college football.
After an impressive 27-14 win over the Miami Hurricanes, the Eagles jumped to #24 in the nationwide poll. Earlier this season, the Eagles were unbeaten and ranked #23 for the first time in ten years. However, the Eagles faltered in their next game with a disappointing loss to Purdue. Since then, the Eagles have lost only one game to previously ranked NC State.
The 6-2 Eagles are bowl eligible once again and look to improve their ranking in their quest for a better bowl game. The Eagles will have plenty of opportunities to do just that with a tough schedule the rest of the way. In their last four games of the season, the Eagles will play VA Tech, Clemson, Florida State, and Syracuse, all of whom were ranked at one point this season. This stretch of games will determine how good this Boston College team really is.
When the #24 Eagles joined the top 25 this week, they joined #23 Virginia, #22 Syracuse, and #2 Clemson as the 4 ACC teams currently ranked inside the top 25.
