Utter Domination… that’s what comes to mind following the New England Patriots 38-3 win over the New York Jets in the team’s regular-season finale today at Gillette Stadium.

From the start, the Patriots controlled the game by jumping out to a 21-3 lead before running away with the game. Tom Brady had one of his best games of the season throwing for 250 yards and 4 touchdowns. His TDs went to four different receivers (Edelman, Dorsett, White, Burkhead.)

Defensively, the Patriots allowed only 239 yards with rookie quarterback Sam Darnold throwing for 167 of them. The Patriots also forced and recovered three fumbles. Linebacker Kyle Van Noy returned one for a 46-yard touchdown. The Patriots have given up 10.3 PPG in their last three games.

The victory along with the Kansas City Chiefs’ win means the Patriots will be the second seed in the AFC playoffs with a bye. So the Patriots will open the playoffs at home on January 13th at 1PM. Their opponent will be the highest remaining seed in the AFC following Wild Card Weekend.
