By Spencer Kosior 02/04/2019
The Red Sox are ready to start spring training as trucks head to Florida.
MLB spring training starts very soon and Red Sox fans are ready, hoping to repeat a World Series championship. Early this morning they were on Van Ness Street to see the main semi-truck get loaded. Two other box trucks–already loaded–will accompany the semi as it makes the 1465.1 mile haul down south to Ft Meyers, Florida.
The trucks hold 20,400 baseballs, 1100 bats, 200 pairs batting gloves, 200 helmets, 300 pairs of pants, 400 tee shirts, 160 white game jerseys, 400 pairs of socks, 20 cases of bubblegum, and 60 cases of sunflower seeds.
Some out-of-state super fans arrived before the trailer doors were even open.
