Talk about impactful additions. Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen, Jean Segura, and J.T. Realmuto are four standout names new to the Philadelphia Phillies. Such a profound change could bring them to the World Series.

“Oh, man we’re making a run for the pennant this year,” said Phillies fan Casey Dunn. “It’s going to be great, and we’d love to see the Phils back in the World Series.”

These four players have 19 All-Star nods combined. They add power and depth to an already promising lineup. Now the new-look roster is bringing expectations to a peak for many fans.

“This year, high expectations, much higher than last year, “ said avid Phillies supporter Jack Dunn. “We’re looking for a 90, perhaps 95-win season.”

The Phillies finished their 2018 campaign with a record of 80-82, which was good for third place in the National League East.

If the Phillies do go on to win 90 to 95 wins this season, it would make for an exciting race in the very competitive division. It also features the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, and Bryce Harper’s former team, the Washington Nationals.

The last time the Phillies won the World Series was in 2008 when they defeated the Tampa Bay Rays.
