Kamala Harris Talks to Twitter CEO About Banning President Trump
By Elena Naze
Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is urging Twitter to consider suspending President Trump’s account.
In a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Harris claimed that the president’s tweets are an attempt to “harass” and “target” the whistleblower who spoke out against Mr. Trump’s Ukraine call last July.
Harris has also responded publicly to Dorsey about Mr. Trump’s tweets, saying that it’s “time to do something about this.”
Harris also mentioned Mr. Trump’s “civil war” remarks, claiming that his tweets can be seen as an act of violence.
“It is not surprising that Kamala Harris, someone who believes in bigger government and more regulation, would like to silence her political opponents,” a White House spokesperson said.
While Harris believes that Trump should be kicked off Twitter, Elizabeth Warren thinks otherwise, responding to reporters asking if he should be banned from Twitter with a simple “no.”
Twitter reported that they will respond to Harris’ letter.
