On Monday, thousands of workers became eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine under Phase 2 of the vaccination plan.

Frontline and essential workers, such as food service and grocery workers, as well as those working in transit, are now able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

In addition, residents over 60 are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccination appointments can be made online.  All Massachusetts residents can pre-register for an appointment at one of seven mass vaccination sites and receive a notification when they become eligible.

Looking forward, those over the age of 55 with at least one qualifying medical condition will become eligible for the vaccine starting April 5.  All Massachusetts residents over the age of 16 will become eligible beginning April 19.

Gov. Baker believes this plan will reach the state’s goals of achieving herd immunity by July 4.
