Monday, T riders were met with a surprise from MBTA staff and volunteers. They have given Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards along with masks to keep them safe.
This was done as an appreciation gesture to the riders. As MBTA spokesperson wrote in an email, “Just like riders rely on Dunkin’ to stay runnin’ throughout their day, riders also depend on the T to get them where they need to go when they need to get there.”
MBTA General Manager Steve Potak and MassDOT CEO Jamey Tesler were at South Station handing these gifts out for riders. MBTA volunteers—also known as transit navigation crew—were located at 15 other stations handing out the gifts. The MBTA welcomes all riders and encourages everyone to use the T every day.
