As a seven-time Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady has proved his abilities on the field. Now, he seeks to make a name for himself in the fashion industry.
Brady’s line is a combination of athletic apparel and casual wear.
His brand has been in progress for the past three years, and he has not been working alone. Jens Grede, partner and board member of Kim Kardashian’s Skims clothing line, is the co-founder of Brady’s brand. Dao-Yi Cho, former artistic director of DKNY and cofounder of the Public School New York line, is also assisting Brady.
This might be Brady’s first launch, but he is no stranger to the fashion industry. He was previously involved in fashion projects with UGG, Under Armour, and IWC Schaffhausen. To add to Brady’s experience, he also owns the TB12 fitness program which consists of workout sessions, supplements, and apparel to purchase.
His new brand has expectations to become as popular as Michael Jordan’s sneakers. The fashion line is set to launch this December, but the website is already encouraging future customers to sign up for updates. The brand’s Instagram account also recently added photos of Brady modeling a white sweatshirt and a zip-up jacket.
Brady is currently playing on the field, but he tells WSJ Magazine that his brand is preparing him for retirement.
“I feel like I’m living two lives,” Brady said. “My football life and my post-football life.”
