On Friday morning, thousands of residents in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania suffered power outages alongside ice hazards causing panic in these areas. These states are expecting heavy snowfall and rain, which could lead to more outages.

The weather service Storm Prediction Center issues warnings about a “slight risk of severe thunderstorms”. “The hazards associated with these thunderstorms are frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gusts, hail, and a few tornadoes,” it read.

This storm caused a Tornado on Thursday in Alabama, confirming its major threat. One woman was left dead due to the tornado in Hail County, leaving an additional eight people injured.
