Storm Rips Through the South, Killing One

Texas and Oklahoma were ravaged by tornadoes that caused damage to schools, various homes and businesses. One person died due to the tornadoes and at least a dozen were injured. This same storm was poised to rip through Louisiana and Mississippi on Tuesday, March 22.
Several tornadoes were reported in Texas on Monday, March 21, along the I-35 and were concentrated on the Austin area. Two tornadoes that were unconfirmed that caused damage in the Lake Texoma area of Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma.
Compounded with the tornadoes, there were also cases of wildfires in Texas and a blizzard warning issued for the Texas panhandle where there was snowfall of nine inches. Forecasters were also predicting the tornadoes and the high speed winds in many of the areas on Mississippi and Western Alabama.
Officials were able to report major damage in Jacksboro, a town northwest of Fort Worth. Photos were posted on social media showcasing how the storm ripped the walls and roof off of the Jacksboro High School.
