BOSTON – The Boston Celtics were able to pick up a win against the Indiana Pacers last Friday Night by a score of 120 to 95. In what was a dominant win for Boston, Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum made history.
Tatum notched 34 points in the Celtics win to get his 40th 30-point game of the season. That milestone was enough to pass Hall of Famer Larry Bird’s performance during the 1987-88 NBA season, where he had 39 30-point games.
Jaylen Brown also had a great night night, putting up 27 points and seven rebounds in the win. This win was part of turning the tide on what was a streaky start of March for Boston as they’ve now won five of their last six games.
Boston sits in second place in the East – only 1.5 games behind the number one Milwaukee Bucks – and look to continue to climb the standings ahead of the playoffs. The Celtics will have that opportunity with a trip down to DC to face the Washington Wizards tomorrow night, tip off is at 7 p.m.
