Annual Boston Fashion Awards takes place at the Seaport

The Boston Fashion Awards took place Monday, Oct. 2, at the Boston Omni Seaport Hotel.

The Boston Fashion Awards is an annual event celebrating fashion, cultures and local talents. Designers and artists from all around the city come to the event to learn to appreciate other designers and the fashion world. The event began with models standing on platforms, showing off different designs, accompanied by an hour-long VIP event where people could mingle and meet the designers, talk to the models and share drinks.

After the VIP reception, a wall opened up, and the event began.

Models took the runway to show designs of their respective designers. They also had performances from local cultural groups, which included dancing, singing and crowd involvement. The show featured designers such as Melissa Stern, a local Boston designer who creates designs customized with sequins, and Bloom Lingerie, a local lingerie and swimwear brand.

The event was hosted by Chelsea Vuong, Miss Massachusetts 2023.
