Johnny Cupcakes and Jaylen Brown Will Team Up To Give Back To The Boston Community

By Justin Fields

Johnny Cupcakes teamed up with Jaylen Brown’s brand (7uice) to give back to the people of Boston ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season. The event took place on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Johnny Cupcakes from 2-4 p.m.. The initiative was to get fans excited for the upcoming season as well as promoting Brown’s brand, all while having a great time shopping and meeting their star player. His limited edition shirts (pictured above) were available for purchase as well.

Community members lined up on Newbury Street hours ahead of the event in order to secure a spot inside. One fan even said he was there at 3 a.m. to secure a spot. Brown was there signing autographs and taking pictures with those who were there. Once Jaylen Brown signed his major supermax contract this past offseason, he expressed the ambition to significantly influence the area in which he appears, tackling the disparities in opportunity, money and education by introducing Black Wall Street to Boston.

Johnny was very excited and grateful, saying this ahead of the meetup, “my mom can’t believe it. And my dad can’t believe it. I got friends messaging me, including people I haven’t heard from in forever. But it’s all good. Yeah, it’s great, and he texts me randomly and throws around ideas. We’re all in a group chat. Yeah, it’s like I’ve known him forever, but we really just met like a month ago, two months ago.” The event was a great success for all parties involved and it was a great way to promote Brown’s image for future events.
