Koch network endorses Nikki Haley

The Koch Brothers’ network announced its endorsement of Nikki Haley for president in a memo on Tuesday. Americans for Prosperity Action, the network founded by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch, has committed to backing Haley to push out the race’s frontrunner, former president Donald Trump.
The memo from Emily Seidel, senior advisor to Americans for Prosperity Action, states that the country “is being ripped apart by extremes on both sides, and that this moment “requires a tested leader with governing judgment and policy experience to pull our nation back from the brink. Nikki Haley is that leader.”
Seidel adds that Haley would win “key independent and moderate voters that Trump has no chance to win.” The Koch network opposes Donald Trump’s return as leader of the Republican Party.
In a statement, Nikki Haley said, “I’m honored to have the support of Americans for Prosperity Action. A.F.P Action’s members know that there is too much at stake in this election to sit on the sidelines.”
Compared to Nikki Haley’s competitor for second place, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, her campaign lacked organizational strength. However, as the Iowa Caucus fast approaches, the endorsement from the Koch brother’s Super PAC will allow her access to momentum-building resources such as direct-mail, field workers, and television advertisements.
