What’s a Bruins game without an OT shootout? The Seattle Kraken took down Boston Monday night in the Bruins sixth straight game that skated past regulation.

Despite a hat trick by veteran right wing, David Pastrnak, the Kraken overcame his electric game with scores from Jordan Eberle, Vince Dunn, Oliver Bjorkstrand, and Kailer Yamamoto, who scored the game winning goal in the SO.

This loss comes after Boston was defeated by the Canucks over the weekend, 2-3 in OT. The game versus the Kraken was also the last game of the Bruins four-game road trip, ending it 1-3.

All three of their losses were close, losing by no more than a point. Pastrnak spoke to the disappoint of this recent road stretch, stating, “If you look at the points, it’s
a good trip, but doesn’t feel like it.”

This game was just another addition to the series of lead-blowing games by the Bruins. In many of their recent losses, they led at one point, before letting a third period lead slip.

Brad Marchand, Boston’s captain, spoke to the team’s worrisome inability to close out games, stating, “We should have done a much better job closing [games] out.” Marchand also said, “…the expectations are; if you’re going into the third with the lead you expect to win the game.”

The Bruins are currently 34-12-14 after dropping eight of their last nine. Boston heads back home to take on the Vegas Golden Knights Thursday evening, with hopes of getting back into winning formation.
