Bruins beat Maple Leafs 4-1 Monday Night

By Alexandria Evans
The Bruins showed up and showed out Monday night in a primetime matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Led by two goals from center Pavel Zacha, the Bruins had control of Toronto all night, scoring in all three periods. David Pastrnak boasted three assists, bringing him to 52 on the season. Veterans Morgan Geekie and Jake DeBrusk also scored for Boston, both being the 14th goal of the season for the duo.
Boston played solidly all game, with key plays made on both offense and defense. This win comes after a brutal 5-1 loss to the NY Islanders Saturday, in which they gave up a first period hat-trick to Kyle Palmieri.
The Bruins are still one ranking ahead of the Maple Leafs in the Atlantic Division, both behind the Florida Panthers. The teams go head-to-head once again Thursday night at TD Garden.
Boston is taking on the Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers tonight at home. Puck drops at 7:30 pm.
