With the offseason dramatics still in full swing rumors are continuing to swirl around
Foxborough. One of New England’s biggest goals following last year was to invest in more
offensive weapons.

The only major pickup for the Pats during the free agency frenzy was former Vikings receiver,
K.J. Osborn. Though Osborn joins a receiver core consisting of JuJu-Smith Schuster, Demario
Douglas, Kendrick Bourne, and Tyquan Thornton, the front office at One Patriot Place is still
keen on incorporating additional playmakers. This may come through their number three pick in
the upcoming NFL Draft, or possibly targeting a veteran receiver.

With nearly $50 million in available cap space, the Patriots still have a shot at picking up one of
the veteran WR’s still on the market. Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals receiver, has been rumored
to be in the mix for a potential trade involving New England and Cincinnati.

As Joe Burrow’s standout ball-catcher, Higgins boasted consecutive 1,000-yard seasons during
his time with the Bengals. The 2020 second-round draft pick has been consistent as a weapon in
Cincinnati, and he possess talent that could add serious depth to New England’s floundering
offense.

Higgins is certainly one of the best WR’s on the market right now, and would be valuable to
whatever team decided to pick him up. Nonetheless, if the Pats plan to take a swing at him, it’s
necessary that they go all in.
