The Boston Bruins unveiled their commemorative uniforms on Thursday for the “Centennial Game” against the Montreal Canadiens, set for December 1. This game marks exactly 100 years since the franchise’s introductory match against the Montreal Maroons in 1924, making it a milestone for the team.

The new uniforms feature a color-inverted patch with black lettering on a gold background, symbolizing the Bruins’ storied history. The unique design inspired by the 1980s incorporates gold sleeves and a modern take on traditional striping, honoring past legends who wore the Spoked-B. The team aims to blend nostalgia with contemporary style while celebrating a century of hockey.

“Additional details inside the jersey include a special design on the collar and on the bottom hemline,” the team stated on Boston.com, highlighting that the collar symbolizes the score of their first game—Boston Bruins 2, Montreal Maroons 1. In the hem of the jersey, the team’s core values: tradition, grit, passion, and heart, which reflect the spirit of the franchise.

To further celebrate this landmark occasion, a limited number of 1,924 Authentic Pro Centennial Game jerseys will be available for purchase at the ProShop and TD Garden.
