Stevie Wonder encourages voters alongside presidential candidate Kamala Harris

As part of a nationwide campaign titled “Souls to the Polls,” Vice President Harris spread her policies to two Atlanta area churches.
On her visit, she reinforced the importance of uplifting and encouraging one another as she races to gain votes before the election’s process takes on the next step.“Our strength is not based on who we beat down, as some would try to suggest, Harris emphasized, “Our strength is based on who we lift up. And that spirit is very much at stake in these next 16 days.”After her speech and its accompanying services, buses took attendees to early polling locations.
After singing his rendition of “Happy Birthday” to Harris, Stevie Wonder told voters not to cry and to get out and vote. Could this encouragement be the extra push Harris needs to sway the projected poll’s tight race? Either way the projected change appears evident, with Wonder stating “We’re going to make the difference between yesterday and tomorrow.”
Following the event Pastor Donald Battle stated that, “Georgia’s gonna be the state that turns it for the vice president.” Harris continues to try to gain minority support and eliminate potential fears individuals may hold regarding a female president.
As voting registration closes on October 21 in Georgia and polling stations prepare to open, citizens are encouraged to continue educating themselves before filling out their ballots.
