Emerson College hosts live election show tonight

By Madison Lucchesi

Emerson College’s WEBN TV News Boston will host a live election show tonight. Over 40 students are involved in the student-run special.

Starting at 8 o’clock tonight, student reporters will provide updates on the presidential and congressional races as well as swing states and polls. Reporters will be live in from Emerson’s Journalism Production Center and the DuBona Family Studios.

Field reporters will provide updates from Emerson’s election watch party. There will also be a panel of students discussing their opinions on today’s election and candidate performance on the campaign trail.

Students have been preparing for this election special all semester with teams creating social media content, writing show scripts and conducting recorded interviews.

To watch tonight’s live coverage, visit WEBN-TV’s YouTube page. WEBN coverage began weeks ago on their Instagram page with their “50 State Review” that explained what’s on the ballot in every state. Writers will also provide coverage right here at webn.tv.
