Though the 2024-2025 NBA season is up and running, the C’s are still celebrating their historic finals victory.
On Thursday, the Celtics attended the annual sporting tradition that features a championship team visiting the White House and meeting with the President, along with a tour of the Oval Office.
Boston’s championship roster, alongside their coaching staff, lined the South Lawn in front of a sea of reporters and photographers. President Joe Biden began the celebration with the fun revelation of his Secret Service code name, “Celtic”, attributed to his Irish heritage.
“Everybody behind me is Irish in their heart. I feel a special pride in this trophy,” Biden stated, “From this old Irish Celtic, to all you Celtics, congratulations.”
